The house of Gepetto
Recently I visited the storage place of secondhand Lundia furniture, for a wood project I'm working on. It was amazing, it looked like the house of Gepetto (father of pinokkio). The entrance was not really visible with just a little sign saying "lundia" which led to a cold basement-like space packed with beautiful kinds lundia furniture and also some wood pannels. It looked amazing and was impressive, I had a nice conversation with one of the owners, Martin Ackermans, he was very helpfull in trying to find what I was looking for and let me take some amazing photo's of their storage space. I certainly am coming back for some more treasure hunt, only then with a warm jacket! Be sure to check out their site. For the people who can't read dutch, in short his history: Martin was searching for secondhand lundia furniture and discovered that there was no place where he could find this, this made him hire an old cycle shed where he started collecting and selling parts of this Lundia furniture, slowly his buisness grew to the size they are now. It really is nice to see a man who build this quite large buisness from scratch!
